A Fair Price for Freedom: For every year an innocent person spent behind bars, they get $80,000 tax-free. If the state takes your life, they pay for it.
2. Zero Tolerance for Abuse

The Independent Safety Board: We’re moving oversight out of the prisons. An independent board will now police medical care and safety.

Hit Them Where It Hurts: Any prison with a track record of neglect or abuse loses all federal profit for the year. Taxpayer money should fund safety, not misconduct.
3. A Clean Slate for a Fresh Start

The "Rent-First" Program: To keep neighborhoods safe and prevent homelessness, the Act covers 12 months of rent for those re-entering society.

Stopping "Debt Traps": We’re banning "pay-to-stay" fees. You shouldn't owe the government for a stay you didn't ask for.
4. Investing in Success

Mental Health for Life: Access to trauma and mental health care for anyone formerly incarcerated, ensuring they have the tools to stay out of the system.

Jobs, Not Jail: Full tuition for trade schools or college, plus a living stipend while they learn, to ensure they become tax-paying, productive members of the community.

By rerouting 2025’s massive industry profits, we can house 130,000 people and fully compensate 4,100 innocent victims who lost a decade of their lives. It’s about common sense, not bureaucracy.
